Where I live, January is usually a purrty cool month!  There are lots of things to do here, most of which we do indoors.

We start the New Year off properly by having a meal that includes blackeyed peas.  They are supposed to bring good luck fur the year, and they are really tasty the way we cook them.

We are always excited if we get to watch our favorite Pro football team play in January...that means that they have had a pretty good year.

   Oooops...scratch that...it appears that our team furgot to show up fur their playoff game this year.  I guess we will have to wait until next year :(

When we are not watching our Bears play football, we like to watch our favorite college basketball team play. 

Ooops...it seems that our favorite team furgot how to play ball during the first part of the Big Ten season...sure hope that they get it together before long so we can still be watching them in March!

Sometimes we get to do a really fun thing outdoors.  Ice skating is not hard to do once mew get the hang of it, and mewr warm, toasty clothes cushion mewr body a bit if mew happen to fall down. 

Ooops...it seems that we are having a warmer than usual January this year...all of our ice skating ponds are just fishing ponds right now!  We are pretty sure that we will get to ice skate sometime, but we are not sure when it will be :(

One thing that we know we can always count on doing is a lot of napping.  There is nothing like a long January nap curled up in front of the fireplace.  We know that we are furry lucky kitties to have a warm, safe place to live.  It is our fondest wish that all kitties find shelter, food and a loving home...wish that we could share ours with efurryone.
