(AKA Casey)

I joined my household in the summer of 1990.  My human had just adopted a little black kitty named Jameson, and wanted someone to keep him company.  The human told her neighbor that she was in the market for a little playmate, and the neighbor called her nephew who had one kitten left from a litter to give away.

I arrived at my new house four days after Jameson, and was a little timid at first, but, after a couple of hours, decided that I would just make the new abode my own!  Jameson started playing with me, and we became the best of friends, and the best of playmates.  We used to drive our human crazy at night---we loved to run from one end of the house to the other at all hours of the night, pretending to be (and sounding like) galloping horses.  I quickly became THE CAT of the house, taking charge of all things.

My human was equally fond of both of us, but my Grandma thought that I was the most adorable kitty in the world, and, although she is equally nice to all of us, I will always be her favorite.  I am not, alas, always as popular with the human.  You see, sometimes I am a very bad kitty.  I don't like to have other kitties (like the ones outside of the windows) invading my territory, so I sometimes do that bad thing that boy kitties do, and that makes Meowmie really mad.  The vet did a really mean thing to me when I was a kitten, so I know that I shouldn't be doing bad things, but sometimes I still do.  Meowmie says thank goodness for Lysol and Fabreze.

Sometimes I like to run outside when a human opens the door, and that is a no-no in our house---we are supposed to be strictly indoor cats.  One time, the human was so disgusted when I did that that she packed me up with a litter box and food and took me over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and told them that I was their new kitty!  I really love my Grandma and Grandpa, but I was  afraid of that big house with d*g smells in it, so I just hid in the corner all day long, and Grandma made the human come and get me.  I try not to run out the door too often, but sometimes, I just can't help it.  Last year, the day after the blizzard, I even broke out of a basement window and wandered over to our neighbor's front porch.  Imagine the human's surprise when she came home from work and saw a kitty that looked like me out in all of that snow!!  She was amazed that I was there, but was really relieved that nothing bad had happened to me (except for a very tiny cut on my nose from breaking the glass) and she grabbed me and took me into the warm house again.  The next day, the human's contractor friend arrived to put in a new basement window with a grid over it!

Sometimes I am very good, but you really can't count on me all of the time.  You can count on my being always a loving kitty, though.  I really like it when someone pets me, and I love it when the human picks me up and holds me. (when I am in the mood for it, of course!)  I love to curl up with my brother, Jameson, or my sister, Abby, and sleep all day.  One of my favorite things to do is to crawl over the pillows on the waterbed and burrow under the quilt---it is really warm there, and I can really hide!  If you know what to look for, you can see the lump (me) on the bed, but some people don't ever know that I am on the bed at all.  All in all, I am a great kitty, and I definitely rule this house---at least the feline part of it!
